Is La Torche reserved for pros?

No. The main reef is demanding (intermediate–advanced level), but the beach break to the south is accessible for beginners in small swell. Surf schools offer lessons year-round. Always read conditions before paddling out.

Can you kitesurf at La Torche?

Kitesurfing is mainly practised at Penhors beach to the north (1.5 km of sand, good SW/W clearance). La Torche itself is a surf-only zone. SW thermal wind is very regular in summer.

How do you get to Pointe de la Torche?

D785 from Pont-l'Abbé (12 km) or D57 from Plonéour-Lanvern (8 km). Large but paid parking in summer (€4/day). Shuttle from Pont-l'Abbé in July–August. No train — car essential.
