The three communes form a continuous ensemble. Hossegor (between the two) hosts the most powerful spots (La Graviere, La Nord). Seignosse-Les Bourdaines is more versatile, ideal for all levels. Capbreton is the most family-friendly with its port and lagoon. Each has its personality but the surf territory is the same.

Is the Capbreton canyon visible?

No, it's underwater (starts a few hundred metres from the shore, reaches 3,500 m depth). But its influence is visible: Hossegor waves are so powerful because of it. The canyon concentrates swell and amplifies waves. It's the geological explanation for Hossegor's legendary tubes.

TGV Paris-Montparnasse–Dax (4h30) then taxi/bus (25 km, 30 min). A63 from Bordeaux (2h15). Capbreton 40 km from Bayonne. No train station in Capbreton.
